The obverse appears to be copying a coin of Claudius II or Carausius, whereas the reverse shows a figure standing left at altar with the legend CONSE[CRATIO], which is only used on coins with an altar or eagle. This coin is noted in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

A well executed barbarous radiate copying Tetricus I. The reverse depicts a soldier standing left and holding a spear, copying the common 'VIRTVS AVGG' reverse type for this emperor. The depiction is blundered however, in that the soldier also holds a flower in his right hand, which is an element seen in coins of Tetricus I depicting Spes.

Part of a copper alloy Roman coin; a contemporary copy of a radiate (a barbarous radiate) copying a coin of Claudius II (268 - 270AD), Divus Claudius type, with CONSECRATIO (altar) reverse, struck 270AD.
Only half of the coin survives and it seems to lack any inscription. Many barbarous radiates are thought to have been produced between c.275-85AD due to a shortage of small change in Britain.
