A copper alloy Roman coin; a probable contemporary copy (barbarous radiate) of of a radiate possible of Claudius II, dating from AD 275-285 (Reece period 14). The reverse shows a male figure standing forwards in a knee length robe, holding a vertical ?spear, right arm outstretched. Dimensions; diameter 18.4mm, thickness 1.1mm and weight 1.6g.

A Roman copper-alloy barbarous radiate, dating to circa AD 275-285 (Reece Period 14). [ ], Altar with star and dome-shaped object (probably representing a flame) on top. Initially one would classify this as a Divus Claudius copy, but the star on the altar and the object on top are quite distinctly different. Furthermore, the bust appears that it might be copying Gallienus or even a Gallic emperor.
