A very worn and corroded, irregular, 3rd-century copper-alloy Roman radiate imitating Divus Claudius (II), 'CONSECRATIO' (eagle), (c. 275 - c. 285 AD; Reece issue period 14; cf. Normanby 1870). As well as being on an oval flan, this coin seems to bear an obverse legend used during Claudius' lifetime with a posthumous reverse inscription.
