Probably an irregular 3rd-century copper-alloy Roman radiate of uncertain emperor, probably one of the Tetricii, female figure on reverse, possibly Pax (c. 275 - c. 285 AD; Reece period 14). An irregular 3rd-century Roman copper-alloy radiate struck on a highly mis-shapen flan. The coin is imitating an 'INVICTUS' reverse depicting Sol, common on coins of Victorinus (269-271 AD; Reece and James 2000, 28-29; ref. 27). It is taken that most contemporary copies were struck between c. 275 and c. 285 AD (Reece issue period 14).
