A copper-alloy Roman radiate of Volusian (AD 251-253), contemporary copy, probably dating to the period c. AD 251-260 (Reece period 12). ORIENS AVGG reverse type depicting Sol walking left riaising right hand and holding whip. Thisis probably an irregular copy combining an obverse type of Volusian with a reverse type perhaps of Valerian I (cf. Cunetio no. 484 for the reverse type). Diameter: 22.9mm, Weight: 3.37gms, die axis: 12
