APOL CONSERVAT reverse type depicting Apollo standing left holding branch and resting left elbow on lyre set on rock. As Mint of Rome. cf. RIC IV, Pt III, p. 194, no. 1 for reverse type. There is a small triangular notch at 7 o'clock on the obverse. It is not clear whether this is the result of the striking process or a deliberate cut-out.
