A silver denarius of Maximinus I, dating from AD235-6. The obverse legend - partly obscured - reads MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM and has a laureate, draped bust of Maximinus facing right. The reverse shows SALVS AVGVSTI, Salus enthroned, facing left, feeding a snake arising from an altar. There is damage to the edges of the coin at 1 and 7 o'clock (from the reverse).

Measurements: 19.59mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and 2.73g in weight.
