A plated forgery of a silver denarius of Julia Domna; FELICITAS reverse type. The official version of this coin (RIC no. 551) was struck in Rome in AD 206, under the reign of Septimius Severus. This coin is a very accurate copy and is only identifiable as a forgery due to the loss of a small area of silver, which reveals the copper-alloy core. The coin has slightly worn and corroded surfaces. It measures 19.1mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 2.38g.
