A Roman worn silver denarius, struck in commemoration of the deified Faustina I under Antoninus Pius, dated to the period AD 141 - 161 (Reece period 7). The obverse shows a draped bust of Faustina the Elder, facing right with hair coiffed and in a low bun behind. The legend reads DIVA FAVSTINA. The reverse depicts Juno veiled, seated right, holding a transverse sceptre. The worn legend reads AVGVSTA. The edge of the coin is worn and nicked. Diameter 17.94 mm, thickness 1.76 mm and weight 2.55 gRIC III, pg 71, no. 363.
