Reverse: [AETERNITAS]; Throne, against which rests sceptre; in front, peacock. Prototype mint of Rome AD 141-161 Reece Period 7). RIC III, p. 70, cf. no. 353. (The obverse legend is not recorded for this coin in RIC. It means that it was taken from another coin of Faustina.)

Report for H M Coroner Bottesford (addenda), Lincolnshire Richard Abdy 4 AR denarii to AD 207 - see also NLM-ADD973, NLM-C03203 and NLM-28BC26 (with a fifth, stray coin at NLM-28CBD5). Circumstances of discovery These addenda were found whilst metal-detecting on a number of occasions between 1997 - 2013. The original find was a Severan denarius hoard (tpq AD 207) consisting of 165 coins (and eleven pottery sherds from a greyware globular jar). This was published by J. Williams and V. The coin has a copper alloy core which is covered in two silver discs which have been hammered together at the edges.The reverse does not appear to match the obverse of Faustina and is perhaps a mule.
