A worn silver Roman denarius of Nerva (AD 96-98), dating to the period AD 96-98 (Reece period 4). Possibly AEQVITAS AVGVST reverse type depicting Aequitas, draped, standing left, holding scales in right hand and cornucopiae in left. Mint of Rome. cf. RIC II, p. 224, no. 13 passim.
Measurements: 17.4mm in diameter and 2.56g in weight

1st-mid 3rd Century. Probable silver denarius, possible Emperor Nerva (96-98AD). Obverse: Possible laureate bust right with distinctive pointed 'Roman nose' Inscription: Illegible. Reverse: standing probable female figure possibly Aequitas left. Inscription: Illegible. Die Axis 0 deg. or 12 o'clock. Length 18.9mm, Width 18.2mm, Thickness 2.8mm, Diameter 18.9mm, Weight 3.3g. Rather worn condition but very corroded with rusty brown deposits and stains leaving few details visible. Ref. Coins of England and the UK, Spink 2009, page 51 No. 485.
