A Roman silver denarius of the deified Vespasian issued under Titus (AD 79-81), dating from AD 80-81 (Reece Period 4). The reverse depicts a shield supported by two capricorns, a globe below. Mint of Rome. RIC II (2nd ed.), p. 219, no. 357. The coin is 17.4mm diameter, 2.1mm thick and 2.85g.

A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Titus dating from AD 79 (Reece period 4). Reverse legend TR POT VIII COS VII, the reverse depicting Venus standing, facing right, leaning on a column and holding helmet and transverse spear. Rome mint. The coin is struck on an oval flan that is 18mm long, 15.8mm wide and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.59gm. References: RIC Volume II, number 205 and Sear, volume 1, number 2448.
