An incomplete and heavily worn cast copper alloy Roman mount or stud dating to c.AD 100-200. The mount is circular in plan and flat in section. It has been cast with a slightly raised border, within which is an enamelled design. The design is well abraded but appears to have been a swirled rosette motif with at least four cresent-shaped cells filled with red enamel that together give the appearance of a rose or other type of flower.
