The legend has been clipeed in places, reading CAROLUS D G'MAG.BRI.FR A.ET HIB REX. Star initial mark.  The reverse bears a square shield of a cross patteé moline, with larger ends. Diameter: 25.4 mm Thickness: 1.3 mm Weight: 5.8 g This coin is less than 300 years old, and although it has been pierced, there is no other evidence that it was removed from circulation to function as a pendant. As such, it falls outside of the requirements of the Treasure Act 1996 and should be considered to be Not Treasure.
