A Roman copper alloy as of Volusian (AD 251-253), dating to the period c.AD 251-253 (Reece period 12). LIBERTAS AVGG, S C, reverse type depicting Libertas, draped, standing left, holding pileus in right hand and sceptre in left hand. Mint of Rome. RIC IV.3, p. 188, no. 255b. This type is recorded in RIC with both AVG and AVGG legend (see also http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.4.vo.255 ), the latter making sense numismatically for Volusian under Trebonianus Gallus.
