A Roman copper alloy coin, probably an As, dating 1st-2nd century AD. The coin is so worn it is impossible to determine any detail, though the letter C possibly appears in the field on the reverse. Also, the edge of the coin is surprisingly flat, with most copper coins of this date having more rounded edges. However, based on the size and composition of the coin it is most likely an early Roman As. Dimensions: diameter: 28.86 mm; thickness: 3.64 mm; weight: 13.6g.
