A highly worn copper-alloy Roman As, possibly of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), dating to the period AD 193-211 (Reece period 10). Reverse type depicting uncertain standing (female?) figure left holding vertical sceptre in right hand and uncertain object in left, S-C in the field. Probably mint of Rome. Measurements: 25.59mm in diameter, 3.36mm thick and 10.03g in weight.
