A heavily worn copper alloy fragment from a Dupondius or As of probable late 2nd or 3rd century date. The obverse depicts a bearded radiate crowned head facing right. The reverse is laminated and all detail is lost. The identification as an As rather than a later radiate (Antoninus) is based on the patina and thickness of the coin fragment.
The coin measures 21.8mm diameter, is 3.5mm thick and weighs 4.12 grams
