Possible 138-161AD. Antoninus Pius As or Dupondius. Length 25.7mm, Width 25mm, Thickness 3mm, Diameter 25.7mm, Weight 9g. Obverse: Laureate or bare bust right. Inscription: Illegible. Reverse: Standing figure probably Salus at an altar, feeding a snake with 'S(C)' in the field. Inscription: SA(LVS AVG). Mint name: Rome. Die axis: 300 deg. or 10 o'clock. Worn and very corroded especially the obverse. However, there are some traces of intact green patina on the reverse and a few of the letters are legible. Ref. Coins of England and the UK, Spink 2009, page 52.
