Reverse: Crowned harp with date split across the crown; MAG ER FR ET HIB REX ET REGINA.

A post medieval tin halfpenny of William III and Mary II dating to AD 1689-1694. On the reverse the halfpenny has a square copper alloy plug in the centre. A double bust facing right is visible on the obverse and Britannia seated left is on the reverse. Probably mint of London. Spink (2022) p 382, no 3447-3448.

Copper alloy William and Mary Halfpenny. The obverse depicts the conjoined busts of William of Orange and Mary Stuart. Inscription reads 'GVLIELMVS [ET] MARIA'. The reverse depicts Britannia seated. Inscription reads 'B[RITA]N NIA'. Coin too worn to see a year date. Coin shows copper corrosion so dates to 1694 as the tin Halfpennies were replaced by copper coins in 1694 according to Spink (2012), p.348. Similar examples can be found on the PAS database at CORN-CF6960 and PUBLIC-1B2979.
