A complete copper-alloy Irish Halfpenny of George II (AD 1727-1760). Thew obverse features the young laureate bust of George II facing left. The obverse reads 'GEORGIUS.II.REX'. The reverse is very worn but features a crowned harp and the legend reads 'HIBERNIA 1742', the year in which the coin was minted.  Reference: Dowle, A. and Finn, P. (1969).
