A complete and worn cast copper alloy halfpenny of William III (AD1694-1702), dating to 1701 of the third issue.  The obverse shows a laureate and cuirassed bust right. The legend reads GVLIELMVS TERTIVS. The reverse is of seated Britannia with right hand on knee. The coin is fairly worn and has an uneven surface patina, with visible wear on the edges of the coin. The object consists of a copper circular band, which has a width of 5.9mm. Embedded between the band is a copper coin.
