An Iron Age silver quinarius of the central Gaulish Sequani, dating to the period c.70-50 BC. Obverse: Q.DOCI, Helmeted head of Roma left. Reverse: Q.DOCI above SAM.F below (AM ligated), Horse galloping left. Allen, 1990 (BMC II), no. 346; LT 5405; Depeyrot, NC IV 269. Measurements: 12-13mm in diameter and 2.26mm in thickness and 1.9g in weight.

The reverse has some damage consisting of a scrape at the top of the inscription which has removed any lug or loop that may originally have been present. The central motif is a five-petalled flower within a neat, but not regular, circle which has clearly been drawn by hand without the use of a compass.
