A complete cast copper alloy square double-sided coin weight probably for a rose ryal of James I issued between 1604-19 (Withers & Withers 1995, 41 and 68-69). The weight indicated by Withers for this type of coin weight is 196.5gr. However, due to the loss of some of the material due to corrosion the weight of this Isle of Wight find is 169.5gr (10.99g).

A complete and corroded circular uniface coin weight for a seventeenth century half angel, AD 1604-19 (Withers and Withers 1995, 21 and 68). The weight for a half angel during this period was 35.5 grains. This Isle of Wight find weighs 28.6 grains (1.86g). The difference in weight can probably be accounted for by the loss of metal due to corrosion.

A complete worn and corroded square double-sided coin weight for a James I, Third Coinage angel, issued AD 1619-25 (Withers and Withers 1995, 14 and 68, ref. i). The weight for an angel during this period was 65.0 grains. This Isle of Wight find weighs 3.24g. (49.8 grains). The difference in weight can probably be accounted for by the loss of metal due to wear and corrosion. The edges are particularly corroded.

German silver religious medallion, made for protection against plague (Pesttaler). It has verses from Numbers and St John on each side. It would have had an attachment loop at the top which has now broken off. The devices are Old- and equated New-Tesament types. Many different types of these medals survive, some of which have various 16th-century dates whilst others are not dated. This one most likely dates to the 16th century.

An incomplete copper alloy coin of Philip IV of Spain (1621-65), revalidated to 8 maravedis. Probably issued 1624, although not certain as the date is situated to the right side of the shield on the reverse which is illegible due to corrosion. A similar, though smaller type was issued in 1625 and 1626. In the 1630s – 1650s period these coins were countermarked to revalidate them. The countermark usually consisted of a figure 8, or VIII in a small circle and sometimes a second mark, which gave the date. A broken post medieval animal bell. On the upper hemisphere there is a cast series of radiating elongated lobes, of erratic width and spacing. There is similar decoration on the lower hemisphere but there is a line along the middle of each shape as well as many transverse grooves in each. At the lower apex is a maker's mark consisting of a diamond shape merging into a semi-circle.

The weight for a unite during this period was 155.0 grains. This Isle of Wight find weighs 8.76g. (135.2 grains). The difference in weight can probably be accounted for by the loss of metal due to wear and cleaning. Each edge has been subjected to heavy filing.
