Unclear reverse type. Unclear mint. Length: 12.09mm, Width: 5.62mm, Thickness: 0.55mm, Weight: 0.1g The coin has a semi-circular perforation retained within the upper inner field, indicating a circular perforation was present when the coin was intact.

A pierced post-medieval silver coin, probably a halfgroat or threepence, of an uncertain ruler belonging to the period from Henry VII's profile issue to Elizabeth I dating c.AD1500-1600. The coin is very worn, clipped and damaged removing parts of the inscription and rendering all but the reverse design of the royal shield over long cross illegible. The size and weight suggests the denomination is either a halfgroat or (for Elizabeth) a halfgroat or threepence. A complete and worn post medieval silver coin, apparently deliberately polished and bent, possibly to form a love-token. The coin is polished to the point it is mostly illegible, but it is probably a sol-piece of Louis XIV of France (AD 1643 - 1715), minted at Paris and dating to the period 1691 - 1699. The obverse is mostly illegible, the legend may have been over-struck. DG FR can be seen, and the laureate and draped head of probably Louis XIV facing right.
