A close parallel seems to be SWYOR-B55B81, "a Paisa of Gwalior State, Gwalior Fort mint, struck in the name of the Mughal Emperor Muhammad Akbar II, during the reign of Maharaja Daulat Rao Scindia (1796-1825)". It is common to find Indian coins in Britain, probably because they were brought here by people serving in the colonial Empire in India.

A very worn and corroded, irregular mid 16th-century silvered copper-alloy post-medieval groat of either Henry VIII, or Edward VI, posthumous coinage in the name of Henry VIII, possibly 'London (Southwark)' mint (c. 1544 - c. 1551 AD; cf. North 1845/1872). The coin has the appearance of clipping and has an abraded circumference with some slight bending. The coin has been pierced, presumably to convert it into a jewellery item, through the inner circle at 8 o'clock on the obverse, emerging at 3 o'clock on the reverse; the hole has abraded through.

The upper face has the raised figures 'X.V.s' below a crown and the reverse face has a circular groove around the outer edge with a raised sun symbol surrounded by lions and fleur de lis in the centre. A shiny green patina remains in some places, but the surface is fairly erroded and pitted. Weights bearing the sun symbol are for the spur ryal (or rose noble) of James I (Withers 1995, p.38). A complete cast copper-alloy circular uniface coin weight for an Angel (c. 1604-c. 1619). The weight depicts St Michael with angel wings spearing a dragon at his feet. It is of a British type produced between 1464 and 1619. The weight at 68.2 grains (4.41g. is low for an Angel (80 grains, reduced to 71 grains in 1604) but too high for a half Angel (40 grains reduced to 35.5 grains). It is counterstamped VIII with a small H or M above and the second and third II appear to be interupted by a circular counterstamp.
