Silver hammered coin most probably of later post medieval date 1550- 1660. The coin is heavily worn and probably deliberately polished to remove all detail. It has then been folded in three to form a reverse S shaped profile. The surface of both faces of the coin have been cut with a knife or bladed instrument in an irregular and non-sensical pattern. The coin also seems to have been bitten in several places with series of rectangular impressions (most likely from teeth) present. The coin is similar in size to that of an Eliabethan threepence piece, and does not seem to have been made…
