A silver Post Medieval coin of Edward VI (AD 1547 - 1553), uncertain issue and date. The coin has been cut into two pieces, the centre removed, and the remaining crescents folded round each other. One piece was bent into a loop, and the other was folded round the loop, with one end tucked through it and bent to secure it. They remain linked but not adhered to each other. Parts of the legends are visible, and part of the shield on the reverse, but not the obverse design.
