Cast copper alloy coin weight for a Charles I 10 shilling coin, probably a Half Laurel or Angel. The distinction between the two is difficult due to the weight of the coin weight and the wear on the obverse face. The coin weight is an irregular square shape in plan and rectangular in section, with a slightly bowed profile. The edges of the weight are bevelled. The coin weight measures 14.1mm in length, 14.4mm in width, is 3.2mm thick, and weighs 4.31 grams (0.153 ozs or 66.6 grains).

An extremely worn Post-Medieval coin of an uncertain English monarch. The obverse and obverse legend are illegible. The reverse shows an unclear long-cross fourchee over a Tudor royal shield (lower left quadrant is the clearest part of the shield showing three lions passant guardant). The reverse legend is almost completely illegible.
The flan size suggests that this is probably a halfgroat. The coin has a date range from Henry VII, AD 1485-1509, profile issue through to Elizabeth I, AD 1558-1603.
This flan has been slightly bent.
