A quarter of a copper coin or token. The design is too worn and fragmentary to be identified. It is probably a traders token of the 17th-19th centurys although the little of the inscription that is visible may indicate an inscription based on a medieval or early post medieval coin legend.

A copper alloy token which has a large central piercing. It is decorated with deep indentations spelling out either IL or 71. It is not clear whether there was a design under the decoration which has now been erased. Details of the original token are illegible. The token measures 25.8mm in diameter, 1.6mm thick and weighs 5.30gms. Such a one-off, hand made item is difficult to date but the lettering style suggests it is post medieval.

17th century copper alloy token. Probably a farthing token as the value is not given (as it almost always is on halfpenny tokens). Issued by Thomas Tompson at Guildford in 1657 and marked with the woolsack and castle from the towns arms. Williamson (1967: 1132, No.126) catalogues an identical example and suggests Thomas Tompson may have been a Quaker and was an "approved man" and Baliff of the town.
