Round silver disk, probably orginally a medieval or post-medieval coin. The design has been worn completely smooth and the item countermarked with an incuse crescent moon on one side and a 1 or I and two dashes on the other. Many post-medieval worn coins and foreign coins which circulated at other than their face value were countermarked in the post-Medieval period to indicate their nominal value.

An incomplete post-medieval silver coin, possibly of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The coin is extremely worn and has been damaged around one third of the edge of the flan. The legends on both obverse and reverse are largely illegible.
