A cast copper alloy coin weight. The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in section with rounded corners. The weight has ‘VI’ surmounted by a arched crown on one face. The other face has iron corrosion adhered to it so any decoration is not visible. The weight has an iron stained surface therefore it is brown. It measures 15.6mm diameter, 2.31mm thick and weighs 2.5g. The weight is possibly decorated on one face but the details are too feint to see except it is possibly a shield within a circular border. Copper alloy jeton, probably German. O. Figure of a man standing behind a table on which is a cloth set out in columns on which are jettons. The man is wearing a flat cap and garment wit the puffed sleeves characteristic of the sixteenth. To each side of him is a band of gadrooned decoration the junctions of the loops being marked with lis. R. This shows what is likely to be a depiction of a horn book bearing the alphabet in Roman letters, I and J being a single symbol.

A circular Post Medieval lead token which has been broken, quite recently into two halves. Only the upper surface is decorated. The decoration is framed by a high-relief linear border. Within this border there is a high-relief pointed oval frame with a ring and dot within. The surface of the token has an oxidised cream colour. The token is 32.11mm diameter and weighs 12.6g. The token dates to the Post Medieval period, 17th to 18th centuries.

A Post Medieval coin; a contemporary copy of a Spanish gold escudo of the 16th century. The original was struck by the Emperor Charles V in the name of his mother, Joanna, Queen of Castle and Leon and himself. The possible weight is a sub-square shape in plan. On both faces it is not possible to see a design confirming the idea of a weight due to the surface corrosion. The surfaces have red copper corrosion. James I and Charles I both used square coin weights weighing 2.3g., therefore this weight may date to the early 17th century.
