A quarter of a copper coin or token. The design is too worn and fragmentary to be identified. It is probably a traders token of the 17th-19th centurys although the little of the inscription that is visible may indicate an inscription based on a medieval or early post medieval coin legend.

Cast unifaced lead token. The token has been bent but was roughly circular; 20.4mm in diameter, 3.3mm thick and weighs 7.9grams. It is decorated with a large 'IF' across the face of the token. Tokens with such simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period, but those with capital letters generally date from the post medieval period so a date of circa 1500-1800 AD is given.

Underneath, the numerals XXII, and below these the letter S. The reverse is very worn but you can make out what might have been a bust of the King. These markings indicate that this weight dates from the reign of James I (AD 1612-19). It was used to weigh Unites of James’ revalued 2nd coinage. The surface of the weight is pitted and is a dark brownish-green colour.
