This is a Scottish hammered silver twenty pence of Charles I (1625-49). As an example of the third (Falconer) Scottish coinage issue, the date may be refined to 1637-1642. The obverse has the crowned bust left with 'xx' in the field behind the bust and a pellet on the inner circle. The reverse has a crown over a thistle. The coin is in very poor condition with a small square section piercing through the bust with two radial cracks from that point. The rim is further degraded by clipping and split at the 08:30 position.

Circular copper alloy medal. On one side the medal has a border of laurel wreath and a standing male figure holding a laurel wreath in the centre with the word `VICTORII` split either side of him. On the other side a wreath of laurel and oak and tied with ribbon surrounds a circular depression with the remains of glue which held a separate piece, now missing.
