Square double-sided brass coin weight for an Angel (11 shillings) of James I 1603-25.14mm square and 3.5mm thick. Weight 4.57g. (70.60gn.).
The obverse has a crowned bust right within a beaded circle. Inscription IR in left field, BRI in right field (James I Britannia).
The reverse has a royal crown within a beaded cicle. At each side of the base of the crown is a fleur de lis. Below the crown is an inscription XIS – 11 shillings 1 Angel).
