Cast copper alloy square shaped coin weight of James I. (1603-1625). Laureate crowned king head on obverse facing left, nothing behind head. Reverse crowned X S within circle. It is likely that this weight was used to verify the weight of a Half Laurel of James I (Withers p 14- g). Weight measures 15.1mm length, 15.7mm width is 2.6mm thick and weighs 3.75 grams (58.0 grains)

A slightly worn and abraded copper alloy coin weight of post medieval (Elizabethan) date, made for weighing the gold crown (possibly of the double rose); which was the equivalent of 5 shillings and weighed 48 grains of Henry VIII and Edward VI (1526-49). The coin weight is uni-faced and square in plan, sub-rectangular in cross section. The design on the front face of the weight is positioned so that weight is aligned on its point, like a diamond. A Post Medieval biface lead alloy token dating AD 1700-1800. The token is miscast with the two halves misaligned. The obverse has four triangular motifs, two overlapping at 90ยบ and the reverse has the initials RA (in retrograde) some lettering beneath which is illegible.
