Worn Post Medieval cast lead token. The obverse depicts a cross design, each arm being comprised of four raised lines. A small raised circular pellet is at the centre of the cross. The reverse of the token is blank. The token would have originally been circular, however it now has a worn broken edge making it more oval in shape. It measures 21.86mm by 18.57mm and is 2.41mm thick.

A complete Post Medieval cast unifaced circular lead alloy token of Powell Type 2. The token is decorated on the obverse side with the initials in raised capitals WP . The reverse is blank. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; those with initials are generally thought to date to the post medieval period. (1500-1800 AD).
