A copper alloy coin which is probably Indian. It has not been possible to positively identify this coin, but it is likely to be between 100 and 300 years old, brought back as a souvenir of the Raj. The coin is very worn. It has a diameter of 22.4mm and is 5.6mm thick. It weighs 16.6g.

Trade token dating to 1668. The obverse reads BENJAMIN GARBOTT and has three fish in centre. The reverse reads HIS PENNY (in centre) 1668 IN LEEDS (outside edge).
This type of trade token was commonly issued during the mid-17th Century (1648-1672). Trade tokens were issued for the purposes of trade and were circulated fairly widely and accepted as currency by tradesmen other than the issuer.
