Reverse: Crown over 'X.S' within a plain border (for ten shillings) over stamped in top left hand corner with a Royal cypher - crown over I for 'J' i.e. James. A copper alloy post medieval Nuremburg jeton of the rechenmeister type from an anonymous issuer. This example is not directly paralleled by any in Mitchiner, but is very similar to examples on p.415. Jetons such as this were used in financial calculations as is shown on this example, where the rechenmeister (accountant) is using the jetons in his calculations and entering the results in the accounts book.
