A round coin weight from circa 1632-1649, for a 10 shilling angel, made of brass. Round coin weights were introduced by Charles I as the new official coin weight, after he banned square weights. On one side are the raised initials C and U separated by a pellet and the other side has the intials I and U separated by a pellet. The token measures 18.4mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 4.83 grams. The token is decorated with raised capital letters, EW with a large dot between, on one side. The other side has a raised date, 1768. Lead tokens can be produced easily and were often made at home for a range of tasks. They are therefore difficult to date precisely and dated examples are rare. The date of this re-inforces the impression that examples with initials are mostly Post Medieval in date.

Incomplete Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular uni-faced token, 1500-1850 AD. The token has a raised design of a roman capital W or M on one side. The reverse is blank. It has a small break and the soft lead alloy has been folded inwards here. The token measures 20.0mm in diameter, 1.7mm thick, and weighs 3.61 grams. Lead tokens were locally made and had a wide variety of uses; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initals are thought to be Post Medieval in date.

Copper alloy Nuremberg jetton of Hans Krauwinckel II (master 1586 d. 1635). The obverse of the jetton shows three crowns with three lis between, and a rose in the centre. The obverse inscription is: HANNS KRAVWINCKEL IN NVR. The reverse shows an orb in a three-arched tressure with angles at each joint. The reverse inscription is probably GOTES REICH BLIBT EWICK, meaning 'God's kingdom (realm) remains eternal'. This matches Mitchner 1540.

The crowned V stands for 5 shillings and sugests it is for a quarter laurel or crown (minted 1619-1657). It measures 14mm in diameter is 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.7grams, 26.23 grains. A full weight quarter laurel was 35 grains but weights were made for the legal minimum weight of the coin which was slightly less and this weight has probably become lighter due to corrosion.

French Post medieval copper alloy double tournois of Louis XIII (1610-1643), dated 1639 AD. Although the coin legend identifys it as a double tournois the weight is closer to a dernier tournois.

Cast unifaced circular lead token. The token is decorated on the obverse side with the initials OA over XII. The reverse is blank. The token is 21.7mm in diameter, 2.5mm thick and weighs 8.4grams. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; those with initials are generally thought to date to the post medieval period. (1500-1800 AD).

Cast unifaced lead token. The token is decorated on the obverse with a raised design, possibly the initial H, which is damaged, probably through being folded. The other side is blank. It is 14.8mm in diameter, 1.6mm thick and weighs 1.9grams. Lead tokens with simple designs were easy to make and continued for a long period but those with initials are thought to be Post medieval in date and a general rage of 1500-1800 AD is given.

Post Medieval, cast, lead, disk shaped, uniface token. The token has a raised design on one side; the design includes some recognisable letters (B and S) but the rest is unclear, it is possibly a merchants mark; the reverse is blank. It is 22.8mm in diameter, 2.4mm thick and weighs 7.05 grams. Lead tokens are hard to date precisely althugh the use of letters suggests a Post Medieval date (1500-1800 AD)

Post medieval copper alloy round coin weight for a Scottish Thistle crown of James I with a value of four shillings and four and a half pence. Withers and Withers (1995:35) suggest "The round weights, although having the initials of James I, were made after 1632 during the reign of Charles I.
