A complete silver coin of Post-Medieval date (AD 1558-1649). The coin is heavily worn and struck coin with the letters R B stamped onto one side. Probably a Sixpence or Groat. Any detail on the coin has been worn off or deliberately removed, meaning it is hard to identify with any degree of certainty. It is likely, based on its size, to be either a groat from the reign of Elizabeth I to Charles I. A fragment of a silver coin of Post-Medieval date (AD 1558-1649). The fragment is a portion of the outer flan of a Halfgroat, Three Halfpence or Penny of Elizabeth I to Charles I. Unclear reverse type. Unclear mint. Length: 12.09mm, Width: 5.62mm, Thickness: 0.55mm, Weight: 0.1g The coin has a semi-circular perforation retained within the upper inner field, indicating a circular perforation was present when the coin was intact.
