Medalet or counter, probably of Charles II of copper alloy 0.8mm thick with a diameter of 19mm, weighing 1.15g. The object is corroded and almost completely illegible.
The reverse inscription may be QVATOR [MARIA VINDICO] which means I claim the four seas. This occurs on pattern farthings of Charles II. This piece appears to be a cheap medalet voicing the same sentiment. No parallel has been found.
