An incompete and completely worn post medieval silver coin. Judging by the size it is most likely a halfgroat of either Mary (1553-1558) or Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The edges of the coin are rough and broken and both faces have been completely worn. One face presents FF stamped near the centre.

A pierced post-medieval silver coin, probably a halfgroat or threepence, of an uncertain ruler belonging to the period from Henry VII's profile issue to Elizabeth I dating c.AD1500-1600. The coin is very worn, clipped and damaged removing parts of the inscription and rendering all but the reverse design of the royal shield over long cross illegible. The size and weight suggests the denomination is either a halfgroat or (for Elizabeth) a halfgroat or threepence. An extremely worn Post-Medieval coin of an uncertain English monarch. The obverse and obverse legend are illegible. The reverse shows an unclear long-cross fourchee over a Tudor royal shield (lower left quadrant is the clearest part of the shield showing three lions passant guardant). The reverse legend is almost completely illegible. The flan size suggests that this is probably a halfgroat. The coin has a date range from Henry VII, AD 1485-1509, profile issue through to Elizabeth I, AD 1558-1603. This flan has been slightly bent.
