Fake or modern imitative Anglo Saxon coin. Made of pewter, it weighs 1.55g and has a diameter of 19.45mm. The obverse has a picture of the king, looking left, with crown and sceptre. The legend reads PINCLE DVD REX. The reverse has a short cross with 3 pellets in each quarter and the legend POLFBEARD OF LEMON. (In the Anglo Saxon period a P denoted a W). Who Wolfbeard of Lemon may have been remains a mystery. This fake may be 19th century.
