A Medieval - Post Medieval lead alloy toy (1600-1650). The toy is a flat circular disc with moulded pattern on both sides. There is a small section of the rim missing that may have been the point at which this toy attached to another element. The decoration comprises a four-leaf flower with the petals interspersed with pointed leafs and pellets and ring and dot motifs around. There are slight differences between the pattern on the front and reverse.
There are no close parallels in Forsyth and Egan, Toys, Trifles and Trinkets and Hazel Forsyth has not seen anything similar. Haze…

A post medieval copper alloy trade token halfpenny of Richard Bazell from The well in Hampstead dated AD 1670-1674. This token is not published in Boyne (1858). Tony Pilson: there are three types of Hampstead token known, all together there are only seven tokens, and this is the seventh.

A post medieval lead alloy token (16th century). One side has a shield cut in quarters; two quarters bear three ring and dot motifs, the other two quarters have one and three fleur-de-lis; there is a zigzag border with annulets in the spaces and there is a cross at the top. The other side has a fleur-de-lis with crown above and an annulet to each side. There is a legend around the edge that is illegible.
An almost identical token is illustrated in Egan (2005:168-9 no. 897) dated to AD1500-1500.

A Post-Medieval French copper alloy coin: double tournois of Louis XIII (AD 1610-1643). Barrie Cook, The British Museum, states that it is stylistically a little unusual, however, there were lots of contemporary counterfeits of the French copper coinage at this time, and it can be hard to be sure on worn specimens. The left-facing bust is not usual, but did appear on some issues at the end of the reign, so it could belong to the 1640s.
