A complete and worn post medieval silver coin, apparently deliberately polished and bent, possibly to form a love-token. The coin is polished to the point it is mostly illegible, but it is probably a sol-piece of Louis XIV of France (AD 1643 - 1715), minted at Paris and dating to the period 1691 - 1699. The obverse is mostly illegible, the legend may have been over-struck. DG FR can be seen, and the laureate and draped head of probably Louis XIV facing right. Reverse shows a crowned double 'L' monogram, with three fleurs-de-li. Diameter 19 mm, thickness 1 mm and weight 1.…

An incomplete Post Medieval silver penny of uncertain ruler, type, or mint, c.AD 1640-1690. This coin has been worn too heavily on the obverse to be identified and is slightly clipped around the edges. A single, round hole has been punched through from the obverse to the reverse face, possibly to remove it from circulation. The reverse design is still slightly visible, showing the rounded and floral shield of Charles I-II.
