An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy and enamelled button and loop fastener of Wild Class III dating c. AD 50-200. The fastener has a teardrop shaped head that is sub-D-shape in cross-section. On the face are two moulded concentric grooves forming a raised edge and domed centre with recessed apex. At the centre of the apex is a small circular recess filled with the remains of white enamel.
