An incomplete copper alloy Crotal Bell of a single cast form of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. There are two sound holes, one of which is obscured by post-depositional damage, on either side of the integral rectangular suspension loop. The loop is sub-rectangular projects from the upper hemisphere. The lower hemisphere is composed of two circular sound holes connected by a rectangular sound slot. About one third of an openwork disc of estimated diameter 20mm. vegetal scrolls arranged in a left hand spiral form nested loops, with tiny fronds springing at intervals from their inner edges, the smallest in a series of diminishing size taking the form of circular loops terminating each element of scroll work. This pattern originated from a central circular panel separated into three concentric zones, of which the two outermost are subdivided or billeted by radially incised lines. Copper alloy mount. Cast concavo-convex discoid mount with an internal central boss or rivet retaining a sub-rectangular rove of length 6.3mm and width 5.3mm. The convex display side bears a triskele motif with curls springing from an outer border between its scrolls. The motif might derive from a later Iron Age context, or from a sub-Roman British milieu. An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval strap end dating to c.AD 1200-1500
The sheet plate is sub rectangular and reducing in width, one side at the narrowest width is broken. The interior plate is held in place by two circular rivets that are still intact, they do not match with one larger than the other, perhaps indicating a later repair. The patina is green and the upper undersurface carries file marks.
Weight 4.44g, Length: 44.96mm, Width 20.82mm.
Probably from a forked spacer strap end or composite strap end - see for parallel Cassels 3.3A and 3.4C.

A fragment of an unidentified copper alloy object of unknown date. The item is a flat piece of metal plate, with all the edges being patinated breaks. One face is decorated with incuse curvilinear lines forming an oval with gaps next to a larger curved line. The reverse is slightly textured and is undecorated. The object has a length of 12.12mm, a width of 11.54mm, and a thickness of 1.34mm. It weighs 0.71g. The style of the lines and the flat surface are reminiscent of 18th century buttons, but an earlier date cannot be ruled out.

A gilded silver spherical object, possibly a globular pinhead, with spiral wire decoration. The artefact is made from silver sheet in two hollow hemispheres joined together with a circular perforation through the middle. Each hemisphere is decorated with four pairs of plain silver wire, with a pellet in the centre of each spiral and a curved wire line joining each pair of spirals. Each opening is bordered with a ring of silver wire. Traces of gilding are visible across the surfaces.

A rectangular cast plate with rivets in two adjacent corners, one of head diameter 2mm and length 2.9mm, and with a robust right-angled blunt hook which projects 6mm from the back. The front bears traces of a curvilinear pattern, possibly vegetal or caricatured, and bordered by finely incised lines, together with a spot of gilding next to one of the rivets. One end of a straight-backed folding comb [of thickness 1mm] and its rectangular sheet metal case [of thickness 0.6mm], with a pin at one end permitting it to be opened out and the comb used with the case as handle. The teeth [lost] were spaced at 6 per cm. The outside of the case bears a dense field of stamped spiral decoration. Suggested date: Post-Medieval to Modern, 1875-1925
