A complete gold Finger Ring of Modern date (AD 1927). The object is composed of a rectangular gold band with a flat section. The outer face of the ring is decorated with incised decoration covering the entire outer surface. The decoration is composed of repeating, double, longitudinal lines forming cells within which are various motifs. The motifs are incised and alternate irregularly between cross potent, and a single transversely orientated lozenge with central annulet and radiating lines surrounding. The 2 rings and coins 1, 3 and 4 were discovered in 2004 and the remaining coins (nos 2 and 5) were discovered in January 2005. Coins nos 1 and 2, found over a year apart, were in fact two parts of the same coin. This report is an amalgamation of separate reports made in 2004 and 2005, prepared by Adrian Marsden identifying the coins and Stephen Ashley the rings, and checked by Barrie Cook of the British Museum. Description: A complete gold Finger Ring of Post-Medieval date (AD 1695). The object is a memento mori or mourning ring composed of a circular hoop with a D shaped cross-section. The outer surface is engraved with a stylised skull.
The inner surface of the hoop is inscribed with the text: J K obt 21 July 95 (as JK obt 21 July 95), in italic script on the opposing side to the skull on the outer surface. Preceding the inscription is a makers’ mark composed of LW within a rectangle.

Description: Small gold signet finger-ring of early post-medieval date. The hoop is D-shaped in cross-section, with the interior flat or very slightly convex and the exterior more strongly convex. It flares from a minimum of 2.85mm wide and 1.4mm thick at the back of the hoop, to vertical shoulders.

A cast and engraved medieval gold and enamel iconographic signet ring probably dating to the 15th or early 16th century.
Description: The ring has a simple round loop with D-shaped cross-section. A complete gold Signet (or seal) Finger-ring of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The bezel is oval in shape and sub-rectangular cross-section. The bezel is decorated with a heraldic design, composed of a beaded border formed of closely set small punched dots. At the centre of the bezel is a coat of arms on a flat-topped shield. The arms are 'chevron charged with three escallops, two ram heads flanking a crescent chief, and a rams head right base'. All of the details on the upper surface are in the negative so that any impression made into sealing-wax would appear in relief.

Description: A gold enamelled badge of Henry VI.
A gold badge with traces of enamel. The badge is cast as a single piece and shows Henry VI as a standing figure on top of an antelope, which was his own personal heraldic badge. Both Henry and the antelope are placed on a corbel which terminates at its base in a small ball. This is suggestive of a sculpture placed on top of a pedestal. The corbel still retains much of its green enamel and two letters 'S H' in white enamel can be seen across the front face of the faceted base. These letters are abbreviations for Sancte Henricus. Treasure case 2016 T298. An incomplete gold circular seal matrix of post-medieval date. The matrix consists of a circular face with square shield within a circular rope-work type border. The shield is quartered into six sections, each section bearing a coat of arms. On the reverse of the matrix are three gold loops, now squashed, which have been soldered on to the reverse and a thin gold rod inserted through them. Gold finger ring with banded agate intaglio set into the oval bezel with moulded scrolled motifs on the sides of the bezel. The hoop was probably cast as a standard pattern, and then the intaglio separately commissioned and fitted to the bezel.
The banded agate is dark brown with a white band which divides the two devices that are engraved into the stone. A gold post-medieval seal matrix in almost perfect condition. The matrix has a circular base upon which is engraved the blazon vairy on a chief three lions rampant guardant. The seal matrix is hexagonally faceted above the base and leads into a stem with two raised hexagonal collars. Above these collars is an oval loop flanked by splayed squared leaves; the loop is crowned with a small rounded knop.
