A complete copper alloy spectacle buckle frame of early Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1550-1650.
Description: The buckle is formed of two oval loops in a 'figure-of-eight', joined by a central vertical bar. The entire face of the frame is bevelled. The central bar extends slightly above the oval frames. There are moulded rosettes on either loop of the buckle frame. The reverse of the buckle is flat and undecorated. The buckle has been black lacquer coated and/or tinned, turning it to a dark black colour.

An incomplete copper alloy Buckle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1720). The object is a double loop sub-ovate buckle with an engraved rosette on each outer edge and trefoil knop flanking the strap bar with a pair of projecting spurs flanking each knop. The wire pin is missing.

An incomplete, copper alloy double loop buckle of Post Medieval date (AD 1550-1650). The pin is missing.
The buckle frame is formed from two D-shaped loops with rounded expanded outer edges flanked by double pointed mouldings. The upper surface of the expanded outer edges has moulded rosette decoration. The bar is largely straight and has a trapezoidal cross-section. There are pointed knops projecting from the points on the frame where the bar and frame meet. A Post Medieval fragment of a cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle, c.AD 1600-1800 (Whitehead 1996: 71, no. 443).
This is a fragment of the frame, including one corner. The surfaces are wide and flat, sloping downwards at the edges; the corners of the frame are angled. The obverse is covered with cast floral decoration. The rest of the frame and pin are missing.

An incomplete copper-alloy shoe buckle of Post-Medieval date c. AD 1680 -1720. The buckle frame is rectangular with rounded corners, and has three raised lines of metal at the point where the missing pin and spindle bar would have been held in place. The front of the buckle is decorated by both foliate and floral decoration. There are flowers at either end, and four groups of six leaves spaced along its front. The buckle frame is in good condition, and has a dark grey colour.

An incomplete copper-alloy shoe buckle of Post-Medieval date c. AD 1680 - 1720. The object would have been double looped with rounded ends. The pin and its separate spindle bar are missing. The upper surface has both a foliate and floral decoration, of eight flowers and six leaves spaced around the frame. It is in good condition, with a dark grey colour.

Silver Post Medieval cast buckle, c.AD 1720-1790.
This is a cast silver sub-rectangular shoe buckle similar to Whitehead no. 748, with a drilled frame for a separate spindle and openwork decoration. The central bar, spindle, and pin are missing. Decoration consists of a series of diagonal cuts along the outer frame to replicate the look of leaves, along with a plaited inner frame, which is anchored at each corner with amoulded rosette.
